To start 2025 on their road to net zero, JPEC have upgraded their service vehicles to an ‘All Electric fleet’. 3 new VW ID. Buzz Cargo buzz  vehicles will now be used to provide not only the best electrical solutions for our customers through QUALITY and  VALUE but also improved SUSTAINABILTY. It was important for us to choose the right electric vehicle. These have sufficient loading space, volume and fast charging ability so that we can means that they are available for all our jobs, big or small. it would only takes around 30 minutes to charge the battery from 5% to 80%7 As our JPEC Green Energy Services provide Electric Vehicle Charging using Solar Photovoltaic and Battery storage for our many customers we have installed these for our new fleet. That means our new fleet are charged up without using electricity from the Grid, so our service journeys are Net Zero.

The UK government’s zero emission vehicle mandate requires that:

At least 22% of car manufacturers’ sales be zero-emission vehicles in 2024

At least 80% of new cars and 70% of new vans be zero-emission vehicles by 2030

All new cars and vans be zero-emission vehicles by 2035

James Prior, Group Director at JPEC said “It was important for us at JPEC Group to practice what we preach and show that we can achieve our aim of Net Zero emissions for our vehicle fleet earlier than Government mandates”.

“ When our Service Technicians arrive at jobs in their all electric vehicles, ready to install EV chargers, Solar Panels or Heat Pumps for our customers that want to reduce their carbon footprint, our customers will see that we are committed to doing the same”.
