ISSUE
In 2021, Tandridge District Council put their domestic housing and commercial electrical services contract out for tender. Tandridge council has a dedicated team who look after the contract, this leads to a family feel. Their tenants tend to be, the elderly and the vulnerable, so a specially trained service provider with extensive experience working with the elderly and the vulnerable would be required. The nature of the tenants also meant that, whereas other councils were looking for planned work, this contract would heavily focus on reactive work, defect maintenance and emergency callouts. Where would Tandridge find a highly skilled team of electricians, trained to work with the elderly and vulnerable, capable of carrying out repair work to a high quality with a quick response time and log it all on the councils online portal.
SOLUTION
Tandridge had to look no further than JPEC Group. Their highly skilled team are all trained in working with the elderly and the vulnerable. JPEC already had the system in place to manage, track and report on all of the work plus their unique flagging system was ideally suited for this purpose. By using a red, amber, green flag for each property or tenant they could assess the needs and requirements before assigning and dispatching technicians. The VIP (Visit In Pairs) tag, JPEC use for tenants requiring additional supervision also helps them provide their service in the most effective way. Having technicians in the area during the day meant that JPEC could easily meet the 12 and 24 hour response times. Plus their out of hours, callout service, provided a four hour response time, when needed for emergency work.
OUTCOME
JPEC’s technicians work with the tenants to not only solve their electrical emergencies, whilst on site, they will help and support tenants to resolve any other problems they may be experiencing. By working collaboratively with the Tandridge council team, our technicians have been able to assist stressed tenants and provide reassurance, by helping them achieve speedy resolutions to other building services problems, such as leaking taps, broken doors, cracked windows or missing roof tiles. JPEC’s technicians don’t just provide excellent electrical services, they provide peace of mind to Tandridge Council and tenants by delivering a seamless service. JPEC Group hope to be supporting Tandridge for years to come.
